The historic centre of Cascais in Portugal. A coastal town which dates back to the 12th century.
I spent the last week visiting and enjoying the last days of summer , eating (and drinking) well and exploring the countryside.
"Boca do inferno"...sounds as dangerous as it looks.
A small beach in the city centre.
People just hanging out and having a good time.
What a lovely place! Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteThose rocky cliffs along the ocean look so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteTerrific summery shots.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place! Very nice photos!
ReplyDeleteI love the statues, very cool! The Portugal coastline is beautiful. Love the photos. Thanks for sharing, have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Lucky, lucky you!! I fell in love with Cascais when I visited Lisbon. You made me revisit my post back in 2010...and thought I'd share with you! http://gothamgirlchronicles.com/travel/top-10-favorites-of-lisbon-cascais/
ReplyDeleteLove the little beach. And the old king looks so straight-laced and regal.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Karen! I always pictured Lisbon with terra cotta roofs and whitewashed facades,... love how they are the backdrop to that lovely little beach in the city. One day my family will have to take a detour from our visits to France and make it to Portugal! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photography of a gorgeous place ~ carol, xo
ReplyDeleteWunderschön, vorallem die Klippen. Und auf einem kleineren Boot scheint man sehr viel mehr Spass zu haben als auf großen Yachten ...
ReplyDeleteI have fond memories of my one trip to Portugal when I was a kid, and these photos bring it all back.
