Black and White Wednesdays

Berlin is my favourite city in Germany. I love walking the streets, watching the people, visiting museums and markets.

The typical "Berliner" has a very unique sense of humour. First there is the "Berliner Schnauze" ( Berlin Snout!) a dialect but also a way of talking gruff. If you don`t know better it might even sound rude. I love it ! Talking to a real "Berliner" is like a game of ping-pong. Quick witted and funny.

  9. Beautiful shots, particularly that domed tower.

I came over after seeing those comments at today's post at Berlin 365. Ignore her. Whoever she is, she's a miserable, bitter person who thrives on making trouble. She's not worth the bother.

  11. My first year of marriage I lived in Berlin - and I love the city. Found the Berliners warm hearted and outspoken at the same time. Hope to visit sometime how the city without the wall now has changed!

  12. The Berliners sometimes make me want to cry. In fact, I almost did one time in a shop when a guy insulted my German (in front of other customers). I said something back and I think he felt a little ashamed, especially since other people were around.
Despite that, I still do love this city! (And I don't go to that shop anymore).
