The Weekend in Black and White

No, this is not Cecil but one of his cousins who enjoys a protected life in a conservancy. As did Cecil which did not prevented him from being hunted and killed.

Lions are known as one of Africa's most iconic animals and today there are fewer than 30.000 lions left living in the wild.

They need to be protected!

  4. Such an appealing, beautiful face. If only these grand animals could be left to enjoy life in a world where they should be.

  8. Couldn't agree more! Amazing capture with your lens...the only way they should be captured! The killing of Cecil was horrific...the day will come for that loser.

  9. Majestic animals, the Cecil story was such a sad one. They do indeed need to be protected, sadly along with many other animals like rhinos. Wake up world!

  12. I find sport hunting like this disgusting. Poor, poor Cecil and all of his cousins.
Love this portrait. This should be the only kind of animal "shooting" allowed.
