Happy New Year

New Years Resolution

Maybe ...
I will write on my blog again...
I will take more time to do the things I like...
I will read more books...
I will not get irritated by certain politicians...
I will spend more time with family and friends...
Maybe ...

A Very Happy New Year!

In Between The Years.

I like the quiet time when Christmas has passed and the year is coming to an end.
Looking back at a year filled with good memories, tears of joy and happiness and tears of sadness.
Warm summer days spent with friends and family, filled with laughter, wine and many shared meals.
Cherishing the good times.

The good thing...

... of having a daughter who lives in Paris.
We discover places, museums and galleries which are normally not on the typical "To-Do-List"
of a tourist.
Last time we discovered the charming museum and studio of Antoine Bourdelle.
Thank you Catherine Goron.

Antoine Bourdelle worked here from 1885 until 1929, but it seems as if he just left for a coffee to return to his work.

Bourdelle joined Rodin as his assistant and continued to pursue his own career. He left the studio of Rodin in 1908.

A Walk in my Neighbourhood

Many houses in and around the Loire Valley in France are made out of tuffeau or limestone.
It is very sandy and soft and is easily excavated. Most of the famous castles are made out of this stone as well as whole villages.

Stones of various ages and decay. This is part of my garden.

Villandry - one of the many beautiful palaces .

Time is passing

When I started this blog the purpose was to do
SOMETHING
with my photos. Over the time I started to link up to other blogs, looking at how many comments and followers I was getting.
A waste of time.
After many changes in my life, changing house, country and language I will treat my blog as a kind of diary.
No ambitions and no pressure.

Quiet times.
