Sweet Potato Casserole (for Katrin) because the weather is still cold!

Sweet Potato Casserole: Take 5 medium size sweet potatoes...

Peel and rinse...

Cut in small pieces and cook...

Mash well with...
1/3 c. milk
3 tbsp. light brown sugar
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 tsp.salt
1/2 tsp.cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ginger
1 c. marshmallows (!)

Yes, marshmallows!

Spoon all ingredients into a lightly greased casserole. Cover and bake at about 160 C for about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with marshmallows and bake for another 5 minutes. I prefer it without the marshmallows! The first time I had this dish was at a Thanksgiving dinner .

Have a glass of wine and forget about the weather...

  2. Ist schon ein wenig grenzwertig....aber du hast schon recht! Marshmallows am Stock und über ein Feuer geröstet ist auch noch eine Alternarive!
