World on Tuesday

The entrance to a magnificent garden.

Les Jardins du Château de Vullierens. The owner started to plant Irises in the Fifties and now there are hundreds and hundreds of them in an unimaginable variety. For a couple of weeks it is a feast for the eyes ...and nose!

Deep purple - it seems to be almost black.
