Chateau d`Ussé in the Loire Valley / France. A real Cinderella castle with many turrets and a beautiful view.
A garden to linger.
Detail of the grand staircase.
Portrait of a young lady...red make-up was based on a mixture of safflower, wood resin sandalwood and brazil wood and mixed with creams to make a paste. Lips were sometimes reddened with vinegar or distilled alcohol! Must have prevented this lady from eating as well...look at the size of her waist!
