World on Tuesday

The Brooklyn Bridge in New York is not only connecting Manhattan to Brooklyn but it is a bridge which offers a beautiful view all the way to the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan.

Construction started in 1870 and the bridge was completed in 1883. Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the US. Crossing it on a clear day and looking over the East River and towards the Statue of Liberty is unforgettable.

  1. My favourite bridge - even better than the Golden Gate bridge. Beautiful pictures that make me long to be there.
