The Weekend in Black and White

In March I travelled to the North of Germany and visited Luebeck and its red brick Gothic churches. Built more than 700 years ago they are still impressive. Inside the St Mary`s church are the bells which came down after the bombing in 1942 which left the church almost completely burnt out.
The bells lie where they fell and where they remain as a memorial against war .
