Weekend Reflections

A garden sculpture in the park of the Chateau de Coppet in Switzerland.

The most famous inhabitant of the palace was Madame de Stael, a woman of letters…another expression for being a writer. She lived in France during the Revolution and the Napoleonic era….a man she disliked.
Living in Coppet she established a salon and invited fellow refugees, her lifestyle was free spirited and even scandalous! What  an interesting woman she must have been.
