Walking with ( and riding on!) camels in the bush in Kenya is quite another experience then driving .
The landscape unfolds slowly and viewing the wildlife from a different perspective is humbling.
Sleeping in small tents and listening to the sounds of the animals at night was frightening at first but after the second night we could have continued for many more weeks...

So much fun!

ReplyDeleteYou are so brave Karen... and such an adventurer! As much as I'd love to ride camels and sleep in the desert, I don't know if I could. p.s. I recently read The Alchemist and this post reminded me of it :)

ReplyDeleteDon't you just love to see the special bond between man and animal, we (ok I) tend to think of it in terms of dogs, cats, horses. The guide and his camel is just such a lovely photo!
