Monday Murals

A small town in Rajasthan/India where once rich merchants decorated their houses with murals. Telling stories or documenting the inventions of those days like this motor car. Painted in the twenties it is almost destroyed by modern day graffitis.

  2. What a pity modern day graffiti artists? don't show respect for the old works of art. Would love to have seen it in all its glory.

  6. It looks like it's going the same way as colonialism did CC :) Painted in the 20's, astounding, j'adore!

  9. Gosh, I think I've seen this....in the Shakawati region--Mandawa or nearby? It is truly a shame and disgrace that the haveli (mansions) in India are falling in disrepair or else being totally revamped.

  13. Would love to see more of these artifacts from an earlier era. Are there more left, even if in rough condition? Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
