Our World Tuesady

A ( glorious ) weekend in Berlin.


The Brandenburg Gate, the most famous landmark of Germany.
The Quadriga is looking East towards the "Unter den Linden" boulevard.



Souvenirs from a time not so long ago.


Another landmark…the "Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church"



Enough of the old stuff!  Queuing for an exhibition, there are so many of them that it was not easy deciding which one to choose. But the most interesting is :

Ai Weiwei !


An artist from China who is under house arrest in Beijing. The exhibition is called "Evidence" and is so far his biggest exhibition worldwide.. He himself was not allowed to travel for the opening.

    Being so close to Germany now, I hope to be able to visit one day...your travel photos always stir such wanderlust. Sad about the Chinese artist, but at least his work is being circulated. Looking forward to seeing your photos of the exhibition.

    Wonderful shots. I once lived in East Berlin as a kid - behind the wall - so must make a trip back there now that the Wall has fallen.

    Hallo Karen,

    Ai Weiwei will ich mir vielleicht auch noch mal antun, solange er in Berlin ist! Eine tolle Stadt - und so viel Interessantes zu fotografieren!
    Ich komme gerade von der AUTOMATICA in München, wo ich zwei Tage lang in die Welt der Robotik abgetaucht bin.
