A Love Story

Once upon a time, a traveling photographer got stranded on a little island in Kenya called Lamu.

Daniela, the photographer, was approached by a fisherman who asked her if she might have a job for him. Her answer was no, but she asked him where she could buy some old show sails. 

Ali, the fisherman, came back a couple of days later with a piece of old sail which was weathered by the wind and the sea...
The proceeded to paint the material with red and black colour, thus leading to their first collection.

"Our first collection was about the feeling of a broken heart and the struggle of being a fisherman, to save this beautiful ocean and to survive at the same time.."

Daniela and Ali sell their bags worldwide, and all profits go to the fishermen who produce them and to the local community of Lamu.
