The Weekend in Black and White

The ravages of time!

These sculptures in the park  of the New Palace in Potsdam are awaiting their renovation. Made out of sandstone, they are crumbling… hundreds of years, along with pollution and harsh winters took its toll.

  3. A bit of decay is a plus for the photographer, but maybe not for the structure. Nice, grey shades.

  6. Great shots. I love all the texture, but I hope they can save the statutes. They're so beautiful.

  7. Wonderful photos. They looked trapped, like animals. Sad, but hopeful for restoration.
